Congratulations to our three Hans A. Krebs Medical Scientist fellows. Antje Kilias is already in her second year as fellow and two newly awarded in 2026: Ayelen Groisman and Nora Jamann. The Hans A. Krebs Medical Scientist Program is a highly competitive excellence program of the Freiburg Faculty of Medicine that supports a small number of outstanding postdoctoral Medical Scientists in natural, life, medical or data sciences and selection is a strong endorsement of both their track record and their potential for scientific independence.
In addition, Nora Jamann has been awarded a prestigious EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship, recognizing outstanding scientific excellence and potential in life sciences research. This highly competitive fellowship supports early-career researchers in conducting innovative research and provides access to EMBO’s international training and professional development network.
