Post-doctoral Researcher
In vitro “octa-patch” recordings in the dentate gyrus and hilus of mice.
We are looking for an experienced postdoc to join the research group and perform in vitro whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiological recordings in mouse hippocampal slice preparations. The project will examine connectivity motifs among inhibitory interneurons and principal cells in the dentate gyrus, quantitatively assessing synaptic interactions between up to 8 individual neurons at a time.
We are a young and highly motivated, medium size team (~15 members) encouraging open intellectual exchange, vibrant scientific discussions and collaborative team work.
We offer a very well equipped laboratory, with excellent scientific and administrative support.
Applicant requirements:
- Ample experience in slice or in vivo electrophysiology.
- The ability to perform creative and independent research.
- Experience in the handling of rodents.
- A doctoral degree in physiology, neurobiology or a related discipline with a focus on neuroscience.
Start date and duration:
This full-time position is available immediately and is initially for a period of 3 years.
